Mother told me, yes, she told me I’d meet girls like you.
She also told me, “Stay away, you’ll never know what you’ll catch.”
Well just the other day I heard of a soldier’s falling off
some Indonesian junk that’s going round.
Mommy’s alright, Daddy’s alright, they just seem a little weird.
Surrender, surrender, but don’t give yourself away, ay, aaaaaaaay.
Father says, “Your mother’s right, she’s really up on things.”
“Before we married, Mommy served in the WACS in the Philippines.”
Now, I had heard the WACS recruited old maids for the war.
But mommy isn’t one of those, I’ve known her all these years.
Mommy’s alright, Daddy’s alright, they just seem a little weird.
Surrender, surrender, but don’t give yourself away, ay, aaaaaaaay.
Whatever happened to all this season’s losers of the year?
Every time I got to thinking, where’d they disappear?
When I woke up, Mom and Dad are rolling on the couch.
Rolling numbers, rock and rollin, got my Kiss records out.
Mommy’s alright, Daddy’s alright, they just seem a little weird.
Surrender, surrender, but don’t give yourself away, ay, aaaaaaaay.
Awaaaaaay.
Awaaaaaay.
Surrender, surrender, but don’t give yourself away.
(Mommy’s alright, Daddy’s alright)
Surrender, surrender, but don’t give yourself away.

Surrender, surrender, but don’t give yourself away.
(Mommy’s alright, Daddy’s alright)
Surrender, surrender, but don’t give yourself away.
(Bun E’s alright, Tommy’s alright, Robin’s alright, Rick’s alright)
Surrender, surrender, but don’t give yourself away.
(Were all alright, Were all alright, Were all alright, Were all alright!!!)
Surrender, surrender, but don’t give yourself away.

” JUST IN CASE THE AIRFIELD RUNWAY IS
DAMAGED BY ENEMY BOMBS, HOW FAST CAN THE SOUTH KOREAN ARMY REPAIR IT ?”
The exercise scenario was the airfield was hit by two scud missiles or mortar rounds. The ROKAF and USAF personnel had to come together as one, to repair the damaged airfield as quickly as possible and get planes back into the fight.
During the exercise 93 members from the 91st ACEG, 19th TAW and 51st CES filled two craters at the same time. The 91st ACEG supplied the engineer support while the 51st CES team was in charge of the folded fiberglass mat team and measuring the compaction quality of one of the two craters.
With the help of more than 40 pieces of equipment and 107 people, the craters were completed in two and a half hours; however, that’s not all the team accomplished during the mission.
ALWAYS ON MY MIND (Elvis Presley)
Maybe I didn’t love you quite as good as I should have,
Maybe I didn’t hold you quite as often as I could have,
Little things I should have said and done,
I just never took the time.
You were always on my mind,
You were always on my mind.
Maybe I didn’t hold you all those lonely, lonely times,
And I guess I never told you, I’m so happy that you’re mine,
If I made you feel second best,
I’m sorry, I was blind.
You were always on my mind,
You were always on my mind,
Tell me, tell me that your sweet love hasn’t died,
Give me, give me one more chance to keep you satisfied,
If I made you feel second best,
I’m sorry, I was blind.
You were always on my mind,
You were always on my mind.

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (NNS) — The crew of the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (CVN 65) is accelerating its shipwide training in preparation for leaving the shipyards.
Training, along with preparation and restoration of the ship, has been a priority during its one-and-a-half years at Northrop Grumman Newport News Shipyard.
However, as the ship is preparing to become fully operational once again, quality training has become the top priority of everyone from the commanding officer down to the most junior Sailor aboard Big E.
“Since we’re working on getting out of the shipyard and back on deployment, the ship’s focus has shifted almost entirely to training,” said Chief Operations Specialist (SW/SS) Brian Wemmerus, Training department leading chief petty officer.
Damage Control and Material Maintenance Management (3M) training are a priority, as well as shipwide qualifications and certifications.
“We’re ramping up to get this ship out to sea and back in the fight, and we need qualified Sailors to do it,” said Wemmerus.

ILO to look into killing of 92 labor leaders
(The Philippine Star) Updated September 10, 2009 12:00 AM
MANILA, Philippines - Investigators from the International Labor Organization (ILO) are arriving in the next two weeks to look into the killing of 92 labor union leaders.
The ILO mission will stay in the country from Sept. 22 to 29.
They will meet with families of victims and survivors of unexplained killings, enforced disappearances and labor-related harassments, according to the Kilusang Mayo Uno.
“Representatives from Geneva, Switzerland, in coordination with ILO Asia-Pacific, will conduct consultations with the Philippine government and workers’ organizations, and inspect two major manufacturing plants in Central and Southern Luzon,” the KMU said.
KMU official Elmer Labog said a number of factories have been turned into military camps to silence unions while workers are charged and are jailed without due process.
These are but some of the cases that we have filed in our complaint and will submit to the ILO in its upcoming mission,” he said.
ILO director Linda Wirth said the killing of labor leaders is the most serious form of harassment.
“There has always been cases and it’s now new,” she said.
“But the mission is coming here not to say all things are wrong but to find a solution to the problem.”
In 2006, KMU filed a complaint before the ILO on the government’s alleged rampant violation of ILO conventions on freedom of association, collective bargaining, and the right to strike.
Last June, Labor Undersecretary Rosalinda Baldoz said the government has allowed the ILO mission to have direct contact with complainants and other competent authorities regarding unexplained killings.
Direct contacts with complainants and with concerned competent authorities would enable the ILO mission to recommend appropriate measures to ensure fair investigation, prosecution and conviction of the violators, she added. – Mayen Jaymalin
